Overview

Matt provides thorough assistance to people looking to come to or stay in Canada, with particular expertise in litigation.

Matt’s knowledge of immigration and refugee matters spans a wide array of Canadian immigration and refugee agencies. He uses his experience working for judges of Canada’s Federal Court to produce careful, structured, and sound legal advice. Matt works with the belief that everyone who interacts with Canada’s immigration and refugee system deserves fair treatment and capable legal representation, no matter the complexity or severity of the situation. He is especially well-versed in litigation.

Matt developed his passion for immigration and refugee law at law school where he volunteered with several refugee and human rights organizations, took intensive coursework in immigration and refugee law, and spent time with a leading litigator in these fields of law. Matt graduated from law school having won several awards,
including as his law school class’s recipient of an award from the Royal Society of Canada. He was selected for two consecutive clerkships and worked with one of Canada’s top immigration law firms before joining Kingwell Immigration Law.

Matt is tireless. He dedicates fully his experience and knowledge to making his client’s case. He works for his clients knowing that an immigration or refugee decision can be amongst the most important moment in someone’s—or their family’s—life.
